Alex Deckey grew up in the Yuma area with ties to agriculture in both the Yuma and San Joaquin Valleys. He attended Duke University and pursued a degree in computer science. During college, he interned with Gowan and CHS to get a greater exposure to the agriculture industry. Upon graduating Alex took a full time position with Capital One as a business analyst. He spent two years learning broad business skills including project management and data analysis before returning to work in the ag industry with Gowan. For the last three years he has worked as a field sales representative for Gowan USA in the Northeast territory which covers Pennsylvania to Maine. In his time there he learned the importance of building sales from the field level up and developed experience with a broad variety of crops and pests. Alex is now based in Yuma, AZ and will be primarily sales-focused while also managing the day-to-day operations of the business, including third party business development, supply chain, marketing, advocacy, etc.
